Insurance Coverage for Regular Full-Time Employees
The Fenton Charter Public Schools (FCPS) offers insurance coverage that includes medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance benefits to its regular full-time employees. As of the 2019-2020 school year, the total cost of premiums for all insurance coverage listed below is paid in full by FCPS.

Those employed prior to July 1, 2012 receive coverage for the employee, spouse and family. Those employed as of July 1, 2012 receive coverage for the employee only, and may purchase medical insurance benefits for dependents (dental and vision insurance may be purchased also if medical insurance is purchased).
Life and Disability Insurance: UNUM
The Fenton Charter Public Schools provides $50,000 term life insurance for the employee while employed by FCPS.
Short-term and long-term disability insurance is provided to full-time employees with coverage up to 60% of salary while on disability. Policy terms and limitations apply.
The Fenton Charter Public Schools continue to participate in the State Teachers Retirement System (CalSTRS) and the Public Employee Retirement System (CalPERS) for certificated and classified staff, respectively.
